For this project, the Fondo Vitivinícola entrusted us with the creation of a visualization of a "virtual interview" with Michel Aimé Pouget, a key figure in the history of Malbec in Argentina.
Audio Recording and Production
The first step in developing this project was the recording and post-production of the audio. El Zorro Azul was responsible for this process, ensuring the highest quality in sound capture and editing. A professional actor performed the script provided by the Fondo Vitivinícola, delivering the voice and intonation needed to bring the character to life. The audio was then edited and optimized for seamless integration into the digital environment.
Digital Modeling and Animation
To accurately depict Pouget, we used historical photographs as a reference to recreate his likeness as faithfully as possible. Using facial capture technology, MetaHumans, and Unreal Engine, the team at Xowen gave the character a realistic appearance and natural expressiveness.
Once the initial animations were generated, we refined the movements to enhance their fluidity and synchronization with the audio. Finally, the video was edited and adapted into a vertical format for presentation.
Presentation at La Enoteca de Mendoza
The final result was presented at La Enoteca de Mendoza during the Malbec Day 2023 celebration, offering an innovative audiovisual experience that blended history, technology, and digital art.
